Facing growing anti-immigrant rhetoric, the United Farm Workers union is challenging Americans to take their labor-intensive, low-paying farm jobs.
I'm a full time student taking 15 credits this upcoming semester and I've been working at DSW (Designer Shoe Warehouse) for a year now, but hours has been an issue, which is why I had to pick up another job at the bookstore at my college (I get more hours and better pay). However, I've had an interview at the cafeteria at my college as well and it looks as though I will receive this job as well. Now, they will start me off at the same rate as DSW did, but DSW has been doing reviews and I will be getting a raise (i don't know how much, but that's not the point). I'm trying to figure out what I should do. The cafeteria will guarantee me more hours than both because DSW only give me more hours when they have better business during the holiday season, which starts mid October. What should I do? What are the pros and cons of working for DSW, a company where I've worked for a year and the cafeteria? Thank you guys! There's a 95% chance I will lose the amount of hours again. And as far as the free food, big possibility, but being that I'm a commuter student with a meal plan, it won't matter too much unless I run out of dining dollars lol.
