A 30-liter daypack covers a lot of ground: weekend hikes, a weighted ruck walk for conditioning, or a laptop commute that doubles as a gym bag. REI's Ruckpack 30 has a padded foam back panel with mesh ventilation, a removable hip belt, a sternum strap with a whistle, and a sleeve that holds a 15-inch laptop or a hydration bladder with a port for the hose. There are two stretch bottle pockets, a top zip pocket, a hidden security pocket, lockable zippers and a stowable rain cover, and it fits carry-on limits for most airlines. This deal is the extended XL-4XL size, which REI builds with a longer hip belt and wider, longer shoulder straps, in Jasper Green for $38.13 with free store pickup where stocked.

Laptop microphones pick up keyboard clatter, room echo and the dishwasher, and that is the impression you give in a video interview or a client call. A clip-on wireless mic fixes it for very little money. The Hollyland Lark A2 records 48kHz/24-bit audio, has AI noise cancellation with three levels, and uses an automatic limiter plus a -6dB backup track so a sudden laugh or loud answer does not clip. Hollyland rates it for about 42 hours total with the charging case and up to 200 meters of wireless range, so it also works for filming a portfolio video or a walk-and-talk recording. Amazon lists it at $44.99; code 45Z7GFI8 brings it to $29.54 with free Prime shipping.
