Ok so i work for a bunch of psychos. quick story: i’ve been here a year, i do HR and purchasing, scheduling for construction type co. owned by two men and wife, office manager is one mans son, my new boss is other mans son. my old boss thought they were selling co. so he quit back in sept. i thought they were to so i had found a new job, went there was the accountant, discovered they dont pay all bills in full, and were operating in the red for over a year, decided not to take job. my old/current job offered me $1 more to stay so i did. They didn’t end up selling co. Well my new boss (one of the owners sons) has lost his temper already (in less then a month!) and started screaming, cussing and calling me names. 2 hours later he came back apologized about his behavior, said it was unacceptable, etc. now being the ONLY FEMALE employee I am somehow responsible for cleaning the offices, and washing the glass doors to the building. well i had yesterday off. i came in today with a pile of paperwork and messages, and a note on the middle of my monitor from the wife saying she wants it cleaned daily! first thing! well i vaccummed, i couldn’t sweep cause she locked the broom in her office, and i forgot about glass. though i cleaned it later. She threatened to fire me over it! they gave me a raise to stay and now they treat me like crap! well ive been applying to jobs, but many havent closed yet, etc. there is a co. in town that will hire ANYBODY to answer phones in a call center for credit card point redemption, well they treat their employees bad, their turnover rate is high, they dont rehire once you quit, and many employers around town view them as not real work experience. But they will pay me the same as i make now, work around my college schedule, and offer overtime hours during holidays. Should i go apply there? i’ve been saving applying there, and i know they will hire me, for when i get fired from a job, laid-off whatever, and desperately need a job, they are my fall back. well at my current work they have made me cry twice in the last 2 weeks! im major stressed. should i quit to work for this other crappy co.? or should i wait to hear from a different company and in the mean time wait it out, to either find something better, or get fired? i’ve never been fired before (I’ve worked for 5 years different jobs, never been fired, i’m a good worker!). do i wait it out, hope i get one of the many better jobs i applied for? or go apply at the crappy co? i’m worried if i go to the crappy job, then get a better one and quit, they wont rehire me and what happens if i ever desperately need a job?! i like having it as my fallback. so should i stick it out? or go apply? im worried about being fired, because i’d hate to have that mark on my resume, and this job stresses me out seriously! but i like having a fall back! what do you think?

The last job I worked before going to school full time was Warehouse manager at a large and very busy construction warehouse. It really tested my ability to do A LOT of things. Things like inventory management, receiving, sending material to jobs, making sure large tools and machines used for work are in working condition, and I would setup large flatbeds with these materials for my warehouse crew to ship out. I also was responsible for a fleet of at least 13 vehicles which most of them was in garbage condition so work constantly needed to be done on them; If a vehicle broke down, I would have to go pick it up get it towed, and it could be on my days off where I am needed in an emergency like that.

I thought I did extremely well, and the boss wanted to raise my salary 4$ already and said he wanted to do a 3 month review instead of 6.

The reason why I left without notice is because my boss would consistently micromanage me, breath down my neck, and would honestly start getting so disrespectful with me, then he would realize what he said an hour later and apologize for it over an espresso. His bipolar activities with me were making me hate the job. I loved everything I was doing, I was having so much fun doing it and I was killing it, but he continued to become a weight on my shoulders. His micromanagement was completely unnecessary, and his disrespect followed by his bipolar attitude made me question the future of the job, and finally I just told him I quit. This last job was also my most recent job, I haven't been to work since last summer, because I want to finish school faster. I am soon graduating and want to find a job now while I do my last 2 semesters next year. This is my best experience I've ever had and I'm not sure if I should reference it on my resume..

This is a bit of my first chapter, and I don't think it's too terrible. I know it doesn't seem to interesting, but I wanted some feedback on it…Enjoy?

“Here’s your milkshake, two straws, I hope you enjoy. Thank you for coming to Kings and Queens,” I said, with a practiced smile. The couple nodded gratefully as I sauntered away from them. I wiped the counter, but from the corner of my eyes, I observed the couple share the milkshake. I sighed, despondently and continued to do my job. It was ironic how I worked at a restaurant that served couples, yet I was still as single as could be. I sulked as I glanced at my watch and saw that it was 7:30. Half an hour till my shift was over.
“Juliette!” I turned around to find my boss, Christen with a panicked look on her face. “I need a huge favour,” she said.
“Sure, what’s up?”
“One of the girls couldn’t make it to work, due to a severe cold…” I knew what was coming next. “Can you work till 9:00?” she asked, desperately.
“Christen, I need to-”
“Thanks, love! I owe you!” she called over her shoulder as she disappeared behind her office door. I groaned as I saw another couple walk in. I glanced around to see that all the other waitresses were busy with their own couple, so I pulled my brown hair into a long pony tail before striding up to the couple.
“Hello, how can I help you?” I asked, taking the order pad out of my pocket. When I lifted my eyes to finally glance at the couple, I was in for a surprise. The boy was charmingly familiar: messy, dark brown hair, piercing blue eyes and a warm smile.
“Julie?” he inquired, and I felt his eyes rake over my body before they met my eyes again. “Fancy seeing you here,” he said, nonchalantly.
“I work here,” I said, through gritted teeth. Throughout this exchange, the blonde that had arrived with him had squirmed uncomfortably, staring at the ground. “How can I help you?” I repeated, this time looking at the girl. She gave me a small smile before telling me her order.
“Two root beer floats-”
“One is fine, babe,” he said, cutting her off. I rolled my eyes, and nodded for her to continue as I wrote it down on the order pad.
“One root beer float, and two slices of red velvet cake, please,” she said, shooting an irritated glance at him. I nodded as she passed me a 10 dollar bill.
“I’ll be right back with your order,” I said, walking off to the counter, a little annoyed.
“Oh. My. God,” Ariella, one of my co-workers and my best friend exclaimed, taking a hold of my hand. “Is that your Romeo?” she squealed.
“He was,” I reminded her, putting their drink together.
“With another girl?” she asked, looking at me worriedly. I shrugged.
“Not my problem. He can date whoever the hell he wants,” I muttered under my breath as I added the ice-cream to the drink. “Two slices of red velvet,” I told her, and she resumed her work, icing the cake slices. When the order was complete, I piled it onto a tray and handed it to Ariel. “Can you take it?” I asked. She nodded, taking the tray from me. I decorated the red velvet cakes with the cream cheese icing, carefully as not to mess it up. Ariel returned, frazzled, tray still in hand. “What’s wrong?”
“They refuse-Well, he refuses to take it unless you go and serve them,” she said, rolling her eyes and handing me the tray. I sighed, and walked back out front with the tray.
“Here you go, enjoy,” I said flatly, placing the food on the table.
“I heard from a friend that said that at Kings and Queens, you’re served with a smile,” Riley called out as I turned around. “Where’s your smile?” he asked with mock surprise.
“Riley…” his girlfriend warned. He rolled his eyes.
“C’mon Dee, I’m not paying 10 bucks to not be served everything I paid for,” he urged, looking at me. I raised my eyebrows. ‘Dee,’ gave me an apologetic smile, before staring at the ground.
“Fine.” I paused. “Here you go, thank you for ordering at Kings and Queens and have a great day,” I said loudly with a wide, crazy smile. I received quite the bit of attention as I stormed off to where Ariel stood. She burst out laughing, indicating that she saw my little show. I grinned in return.
***
“Hey Jules.” He paused. “And Jules’ hot friend,” my brother added, giving Ariel a once over. Ariel blushed under my brother’s gaze as I rolled my eyes. “Why’d you take so long to call?” he asked, pointing to his watch: 9:15.
“Christen wanted me working another hour, so I stayed,” I said with a shrug.
“Alright, let’s go,” he said. He stopped walking, making me bump into his firm back. “Hey, Jules’ friend-”
“Ariella,” she interrupted.
“Right, Ariella,” he muttered. “Do you need a ride home?”
“Thank you, but no thanks. I already have a ride.”
“Alright, I just don’t want a beautiful lady like yourself to be walking home alone,” he said with a wink. She turned around, hiding her blush as Henry and I walked out of the restaurant.

Feedback? Should I continue writing?
